Work
I am working privately in learning support and scholastic testing, as well as a specialist researcher in the fields of education and assessment at JET Education Services. I have been seconded as technical advisor to the National Institute for Curriculum and Professional Development at the Department Basic Education from 2012 to 2014. I took up a short-term secondment as researcher to the Centre of Education Practice Research at the University of Johannesburg in January 2015.

I hold honours degrees in Clinical Psychology, Special Education as well as Educational Counselling. I completed a masters in Educational Psychology at the University of Johannesburg.
Research
My research interests focus on neuroscience, learning and assessment in early childhood. I have a special interest in how children learn to read and do arithmetic. I am committed to making knowledge and information easily accessible to parents, teachers and other stakeholders. You can access my publications here.
